NNA - The Ministry of Environment said in a statement on Tuesday that "an international expert of Lebanese origin has been tasked to deal with the issue of unpleasant odors emitted in Greater Beirut district, as part of the Ministry's follow-up on the matter, in cooperation with the Council for Development and Reconstruction."

The experts' task is to detect the source of these smells, propose the most appropriate solutions, and apply the proposed solutions.

The expert has completed the first and second stages of his proposal and has proposed the most appropriate solutions to be tested in certain sites. The necessary materials are currently being shipped from abroad to complete the final stage of the proposal, as per a statement by the Ministry of Environment.
