• The complainant receives a dated complaint number to allow for follow up.
• The complaint is then forwarded to the Service of Regional Departments and Environmental Police (SoRDEP) of the MoE where it gets reviewed by a specialised staff member such that a site visit is conducted and samples and/or photographs are taken if needed. A report is then prepared including a recommendation for appropriate action.
• This report is then formally transmitted to the relevant authorities for execution.
• Processing of the complaint usually takes around 2 weeks from receipt of the complaint. The complainant can follow up with SoRDEP for updates and may request a copy of the produced report once transmitted to the relevant authorities.
